• i hate that a key barometer for whether or not i’m interested in someone romantically is whether or not i have some degree of anxiety around the wording/styling of their text messages

• a lot of traditional/institutional advice for how to be a better writer just boils down to “write more like a man”

• i’m not an expert, but if you’re at the stage where there are lots of people and reputable organizations saying you’re committing genocide… then you’ve probably long lost the plot — even just getting close to doing a genocide is bad, so saying “we’re not there quite yet!” is just as damning
