/about

I am an artist and remote tech worker residing in the southeastern United States.

I first started publishing on the internet around 2003 and have utilized numerous platforms to do so over the past two decades. Currently I use micro.blog, Bluesky, and are.na. This website is a work-in-progress which I add to every week.

I’m interested in art, technology, gender, sexuality, labor, internet culture, and Challengers (2024).

Background

I was born in Appalachia during the 90s. I grew up in the evangelical church but deconstructed over a 4-year period in college after intense research/soul-searching. Now I am agnostic/spiritual and appreciate parts of Zen Buddhism. I don’t align with or relate to gender binaries. I have a small dog who is a chihuahua/terrier mix.

My passion for creativity/art started at a young age through writing. In middle school, I picked up my first camera and entered into a life-long relationship with photography. In college, I began making things across several mediums including animation, video, graphic design, and leather. My art practice for the past 5 years has focused on conceptual and abstract art.

As a “professional”, I’ve worked primarily as a graphic designer, content creator, and marketer for software companies. I’m currently on sabbatical, but always open to conversations.

In regard to technology, I’m especially interested in…

  • consumer health tech (home medical devices, fitness, wellness, accessibility, etc),
  • indie software (i.e. not venture-capital funded… micro.blog, are.na, netnewswire)
  • mobile apps (iOS focused mostly)

I love tennis and play 3x a week at my local club.
